For brands

Ask us to test you

Any brand can enter the programme. It costs nothing, it moves you up the queue, and it commits you to publication whatever the lab finds.

How it works

You ask
Tell us the brand, the products you sell, and where they can be bought. That is the whole application.
We buy
We purchase at retail, anonymously, on our own account. We will not accept product you send us, because a sample you chose is not evidence.
The lab works
Samples go to an accredited third party laboratory that has no relationship with you.
We publish
The result goes up in full. You find out when the public finds out.

What it costs

Nothing. You cannot pay us to test you, you cannot pay us to test you faster, and you certainly cannot pay us for a number. We cover the cost of the product and the cost of the analysis, which is the only arrangement under which any of this means anything.

Read this part before you ask. Entering means agreeing that we publish whatever we find. There is no review step, no embargo you control, and no option to withdraw once a sample is with the lab. If that is uncomfortable, this programme is not for you, and that is a reasonable position to hold. It just means we will buy your product anyway and test it on our own schedule.

What happens if you fail

We publish the failure with the lot, the date, and the measurement. Then we tell you exactly what the number was so you can go and find the problem. A failed lot is a manufacturing fact, not a character judgement, and brands that fix things and ask for a retest get the retest published next to the original.

What the seal is worth

If a brand passes, it can display the Mycelia Verified seal for that product and lot. The seal is tied to what we tested, not to the company in general, and it expires. A seal that never expired would be worth nothing within a year.
